Society’s Influence on the Development of Women in Accordance to Kafka

This piece is an ensemble demonstrating the impact that society has on the development of women. Every piece used has a different meaning, coming together to form society as we see it today. The beautiful landscape and its interaction with the triangles show how society suppresses beauty and hinders it, while the newspaper cutout in the shape of a girl represents Gretta and how society has left an imprint that affects her development as a character as well as a woman. Lastly the use of newspaper shows the impact and mark that society has left behind and how the only way that we can piece together who we truly are is with what is left of our innocence and purity.
